Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Director for Workforce Development, the One-Stop System Manager will lead the development, implementation and oversight of the service-delivery system for the local workforce area that serves Kane, Kendall, and DeKalb Counties under the federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to ensure the seamless coordination, integration, and availability of partner programs and services for jobseekers and businesses.
In this capacity, the One-Stop System Manager will directly oversee the day-to-day operations and facility management for the workNet Batavia Center, as well as ensuring accessible services at the Kendall and DeKalb Workforce Development Offices and for other community-based sites.
The One-Stop System Manager will also provide direct supervision and support to front-line staff in the areas of quality customer engagement and outreach, delivery of customer-focused universal career services, and implementation of the One-Stop's standards/procedures/protocols to ensure exceptional customer experience for jobseekers and businesses.
The One-Stop System Manager will provide staffing support to a partner-led leadership panel, as well as provide functional leadership and support in the areas of:
delivering front-line customer service, resources and/or technical assistance as required; establishing policy and procedures for effective operations; development of referral pipelines through partner and community outreach strategies; maintaining employer relationships and dissemination of job opportunities; tracking and evaluating data; facilitating planning and cross-training efforts with system partners; presenting activity and outcome reports to stakeholder groups and/or the local Workforce Development Board that oversees One-Stop System; establishing continuous improvement efforts; and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the needs of core customers and knowledge base of partner programs to deliver effective services that are responsive to the needs of area job seekers and businesses.
Qualified applicants will have a bachelor's degree and should be a visionary, goal-driven and professional leader with strong stakeholder engagement skills, organization and time management skills, good research skills, and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Applicants must have a valid Illinois driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between office locations in Batavia, DeKalb and Yorkville along with community-based sites within the three-county area based on need.
Bi-lingual in Spanish/English is a plus.
