Summary:
The primary responsibilities are but not limited to, interact, design, implement and review procedure and equipment involved in the manufacturing process, such as automation techniques, new systems, and production optimization.
Must be comfortable in working in manufacturing environments and have the ability to interact with maintenance personnel, manufacturing/design engineers and management to continuously improve efficiency and quality performance.
A technical background in relevant equipment, in addition to hands on experience in process controls is necessary for the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, implement, and improve production equipment for the continued safe use to manufacture high quality building material products,Aid in the design, development, and implementation of new products,Oversee the planning and recording of maintenance tasks (preventative maintenance) with the help of dedicated software,Lead/aid in continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes to raise the bar for safety, and productivity,Write CNC programs for new parts (limited need),Collaborate with production and QA departments as well as management to recommend and generate innovative ideas, improve product quality and inspection criteria, methods and procedures,Act as primary resource for 2D and 3D CAD modeling,Troubleshoot when needed to recognize process failures and implement corrective actions and/or designs,Adhere to mutually agreed deadlines for projects,Train and mentor future key resources in order to grow the department,Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, OR Proven equivalent work experience and relevant training in manufacturing with an excellent mechanical aptitude.
Experience in manufacturing OR related experience in CNC, Automation Controls.
Custome Machinery experience is a plus.
Proficient in 2D and 3D modeling software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, etc).
Experience in CNC programming a plus.
Track record of continuous learning and willingness for further learning.
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Ability to work well with others and work independently.
Self-motivated, self-starter and self-disciplined.
Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and schedule, as needed on occasion.
Physical Requirements:
Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects.
Regularly required to speak and hear.
Must be able to maneuver to and around equipment.
Must be able to stand, sit, kneel, stoop, bend and twist for extended periods of time.
