Acquaviva Winery and Ristorante, located in Maple Park and Batavia, IL is seeking a hardworking, enthusiastic, and experienced tasting room associate.

Mission:
The Tasting Room Associate provides an exceptional brand experience for consumers through the highest level of product knowledge, hospitality, and customer service.
This person works as part of a highly skilled and flexible Wine Sales Team that assists in generating sales and elevating guest experiences.
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Leads guests through wine tasting, educating them on Acquaviva wines, vineyards and story while demonstrating and upholding hospitality service standards.
Responsible for achieving wine sales goals and club memberships.
Builds relationships with our Members and guests.
Handles routine purchasing transactions including operating Toast and Vinoshipper.
Wash wine glasses, dry and polish before restocking.
Stock wine and other materials and equipment, as needed.
Maintain a clean bar, counters, shelves and other equipment.
Complete opening, closing and side-work.
Occasionally assist with winery special events and tastings at festivals, or other events.
Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
Perform all other duties assigned by managers as needed.
Requirements/Competencies:
Previous winery, retail and/or hospitality experience preferred Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, ability to manage priorities and workflow.
Reasoning ability skills:
can carry out written or oral instructions without problems.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and gracious behavior when environment becomes stressful and fast-paced, and when priorities change.
Communicates effectively using open, professional dialogue and is solution focused.
Maintain professional demeanor and dress.
Have or ability to obtain a valid IL BASSET certification.
Evening and weekend availability Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Stoop, reach, kneel, or crouch, use hands for duration of shift.
Wage commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Hourly wage plus tips.
