Postdoctoral Research Associate (Theoretical Physics Department)

Description The Fermilab Theoretical Physics Department invites applications for postdoctoral research appointments starting in the Fall of 2018. Fermilab Theory postdocs perform self-directed theoretical particle physics research on topics of their own choosing, and are encouraged to work with members of the senior scientific staff and other postdocs within the Department. The Fermilab Theoretical Physics research program includes neutrino physics, perturbative QCD, lattice QCD, Higgs & Flavor physics, collider phenomenology, and physics beyond the standard model. Postdoctoral research associates in the Fermilab Theoretical Physics Department are appointed for three years. Qualifications Candidates should have obtained a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics or a closely related field, or expect to earn a Ph.D. in the same fields, by September 1, 2019. Demonstrated experience in theoretical particle-physics research. Excellent oral and written communication skills. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
